Dr. Robert W. Lloyd Announcing the 11th annual installment of the Rotary Club of Jenkintown Pancake Breakfast.
This year it is our pleasure to recognize the longtime commitment and dedication of Dr. Robert W.Lloyd. We are renaming this event for 2015 in honor of Dr. Lloyd and invite you to join us as we recognize his commitment to Jenkintown Rotary and to the Annual Pancake Breakfast event.
The breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 8:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at Grace Presbyterian Church in Jenkintown.
Dr. Lloyd was a long time supporter of Jenkintown Rotary and particularly this annual event. In his career as a Pediatric Dentist and working with children with special needs, he loved to give back to our community. Following his untimely passing after last year’s event, the Jenkintown Rotary Board of Directors chose to memorialize him by renaming this major fund raising event in his honor.
Bob loved Rotary and in particular he loved this annual event. Bob was a dedicated Rotarian and committed many hours of pre-planning for this event each year. He logged many hours in front of the grill flipping pancakes for the 300 plus attendees.
The annual Pancake Breakfast is significant fund raising event for the Jenkintown Rotary Club. 100% of the proceeds from sponsorships,tickets, donations, and raffles are returned back to the community in the form of monetary support to help members of our community to build goodwill, support special projects and to help those who need support in our community. Jenkintown Rotary through this support strives to make our community a better place to live and a better place to raise a family. Bob truly believed in the Rotary creed of “ServiceAbove Self”’ and the efforts of Rotary in our community.
We are asking for your support to join us in recognizing Bob’s commitment to Rotary and to this Jenkintown Rotary cornerstone fundraising event. Please show your support with sponsorships, donations of goods and services for our raffles, and please plan to attend our breakfast. Enjoy performances by the Jenkintown High School Jazz Band, The Jenkintown High School Honors Choir, and a select performances from the cast of Jenkintown Music Theatre. The JMT will feature this years performance of “Shrek”. This will be a truly wonderful day in the Jenkintown community.
