Jenkintown Rotary Club is hosting its 12th annual Pancake Breakfast on April 22 and dedicating it to the Jenkintown Food Pantry and Rotarian Lou Riggs, the Club’s champion for the Food Cupboard. On February 16, in advance of the breakfast, Riggs presented a check for $1,000 to the Food Pantry. Every Thursday from 12 to 2:00pm 80 to 100 families get their food from The Food Cupboard at the Jenkintown United Methodist Church. The Cupboard distributes 4000 lbs of food each week. Jenkintown Rotary Club meets for lunch every Tuesday from noon to 1:30pm at Grace Presbyterian Church in Jenkintown.
